Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

I have always admired Charlotte Tilbury. She has based her make up on on some of the most icon women in the fashion and beauty industry. Ranging from Kate Moss to Cara Delevigne to Marilyn Monroe to Elizabeth Taylor.

I wanted desperately to have at least one product from Charlotte Tilbury in my makeup collection, but in Toronto, you would have to order her products online and I don’t like doing that unless I have tried the colours out on me before.

The other day, however, I was in Holt Renfrew in downtown Toronto and a gold kiosk caught my eye and low and behold it was Charlotte Tilbury. The ONLY Charlotte Tilbury in Toronto and maybe even Ontario. I ran over there and dropped $115.00 CA in about 2 minutes. I am not kidding.

I bought the Filmstar Bronze and Glow sculpt and highlight palette and a Colour Chameleon, of which I will review soon.

The Filmstar Bronze and Glow sculpt and highlight palette has beautiful packaging. It has a perfect compact mirror on the inside and the colours look beautiful.

I was a little skeptical of the bronzer because I am not a huge fan of shimmer bronzers, as I love matte bronzers, but when on the skin, the bronzer does not show any shimmer to it. It has the most perfect grey undertones to make sure that your skin does not look muddy, but instead it leaves the perfect illusion of a shadow creating amazing contour lines.

I am not a die hard fan of the highlighter, as I do think that I have better ones in my makeup collection. But, for those who do not want a strong highlight and are just wanting a subtle hint of glow, I can recommend this highlighter.

The sculpting palette only comes in two different shades, one for lighter skin and one for darker. They are somewhat universal colours, but if you are having too much of a heavy hand with the bronzer it can look too dark, but all you have to do is blend and buff!

I keep having to ask myself, “was it worth the $80.00”, and I think it was. Charlotte Tilbury makeup, at least for me, is at the top of the pyramid of makeup, and finally having a selection of her own made me so happy.

This is one of those products thought that you cannot be afraid to use because it was expensive. Use the crap out of it! Contour and highlight every day! Why not?! Get your moneys worth!

    1. To be honest, I used a gift card that I had to Holt Renfrew! I wasn’t about to drop 80$ straight of my account for it! Try to save up for a special occasion or if you can find it somewhere that you can get gift cards for!
